Teresa-Michelle Ruiz was featured in Curve Magazine, the nation's #1 Lesbian & Bi women's magazine which profiles entertainers such as Melissa Etheridge. She is one of only four featured performers in the "Women to Watch in Theater in 2005" piece representing queer (Bi & Lesbian) women of color in theater. Also, Teresa-Michelle's film short "Crossing Frontiers" ("Crusando Fronteras") in which she plays the female lead, had it's first public screening, held at the Raven Playhouse theater in North Hollywood. Teresa-Michelle also shot a scene as a background shopper for an Oxygen movie of the week starring Janeane Garofalo. Thanks to Jesse Aranda, Nosotros Member, who got her the gig (late, last minute call)!
